The AFC South is the closest divisional race in the NFL heading into Sunday.

The latest: As the Jacksonville Jaguars cling to a slim lead in the division entering Week 16, the Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts loom closely behind. Elsewhere, the Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills are still fighting for the AFC East crown, while the Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs can clinch their respective divisions this weekend.

Here are the full AFC division winner odds as of December 22.

AFC division winner odds

We'll start with the AFC East, a division that continues to get closer each week. Buffalo has won three division titles in a row, but that streak could easily snap this year.

TeamBetting odds
Miami Dolphins-265
Buffalo Bills+200

NFL odds as of 3:36 p.m. on 12/22/2023.

Dolphins: Miami regained momentum in Week 15 with a 30-0 win over the New York Jets. The Dolphins still hold a two-game lead over the Bills but face a much tougher test this weekend against the Cowboys.

To secure the AFC East, Miami likely needs to win two of its final three games. The Dolphins have the hardest remaining schedule in the NFL, however, with matchups against the Ravens and Bills following the game against the Cowboys.

Bills: Buffalo continued to strengthen its position in the AFC playoff race with another big win, this time at home against Dallas, 31-10. With just three weeks left in the regular season, the Bills have put all the pressure on the Dolphins.

Leading up to their Week 18 matchup with the Fins, which could determine the division, the Bills face the Chargers (5-9) and Patriots (3-11).

AFC North odds

TeamBetting odds
Baltimore Ravens-2,000
Cleveland Browns+1,000

NFL odds as of 3:36 p.m. on 12/22/2023.

Ravens: Baltimore reaffirmed its status as the top team in the conference by dominating Jacksonville on Sunday night, 23-7. The Ravens are now gearing up for their toughest challenge yet against the 49ers on Christmas.

If Baltimore wins and Cleveland loses, the Ravens will clinch the AFC North. That's a crucial step toward maintaining the AFC's No. 1 seed heading into the playoffs.

Browns: At 9-5, the Browns still have the opportunity to create some chaos in the division race. This weekend, facing the Texans without C.J. Stroud, Cleveland could potentially move within a game back of Baltimore.

But the Browns will probably need to win all their remaining games — including a tough road matchup against the Bengals in Week 18 — to secure the division.

AFC South odds

TeamBetting odds
Jacksonville Jaguars-118
Indianapolis Colts+225
Houston Texans+350

NFL odds as of 3:36 p.m. on 12/22/2023.

Jaguars: Jacksonville is desperately holding onto its division lead with three games to go.

The Jaguars’ recent three-game losing streak has left them tied with the Colts and Texans at 8-6. While Trevor Lawrence has returned to practice, he still needs to clear concussion protocol before Sunday’s game against the Bucs, which is essential for maintaining the AFC South lead.

Colts: After beating the Steelers last Sunday, 30-13, the Colts have the second shortest odds to win the division. Indianapolis looks to add to its impressive 5-2 road record against the Falcons in Atlanta this weekend. If the Colts continue to win games, the AFC South race is likely to hinge on their Week 18 matchup with the Texans.

Texans: Despite C.J. Stroud’s absence, Houston scraped out a win on Sunday, beating the Titans, 19-17, in overtime. Case Keenum threw for 229 yards in the win but faces a much tougher defence against the Browns this weekend.

AFC West odds

TeamBetting odds
Kansas City Chiefs-10,000
Denver Broncos+2,500
Las Vegas Raiders+10,000

NFL odds as of 3:36 p.m. on 12/22/2023.

Chiefs: Kansas City has one of the easiest remaining schedules among top contenders, making them heavy favourites to secure the AFC West. The Chiefs can clinch the division with a win against the Las Vegas Raiders on Christmas, which would mark their eighth consecutive division title.

Broncos: While still technically in the race for the division, the Broncos are now more focused on securing a playoff spot. After an embarrassing 42-17 loss to Detroit last Saturday, Denver currently occupies the 11th seed. Hosting the Patriots this week, the Broncos should move closer to the playoffs as a result.

Raiders: The Raiders put up a franchise-high 63 points against the Chargers last week, just four days after they were shut out by the Vikings. Las Vegas can keep its divisional and playoff hopes alive with a road victory against Kansas City this weekend.
