Best early NFL Week 12 picks: Back Joe Burrow and the Bengals on the road

With Week 11 in the rearview mirror, we're turning our focus to next Sunday's NFL slate.

The pregame narrative: The Cincinnati Bengals are rolling and face an injured Tennessee Titans defence. Meanwhile, we like the Seattle Seahawks to cover at home and expect the Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers game to be a slog.

Here are our best early NFL Week 12 picks.

Best early NFL Week 12 picks

Best Bet: Bengals moneyline (-117)

The Bengals' offence has been clicking the past two weeks, even without Ja'Marr Chase present.

Cincinnati scored 37 points against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, one week after hanging 42 points on the Panthers. Joe Burrow was slinging it against his AFC North rival, throwing for 355 yards and four touchdowns in the Week 11 win at Acrisure Stadium.

Last year's AF champs are finally looking the part but will have a tough test against the Titans, who are riding a two-game win streak of their own. That said, we think this matchup favours the road team.

Tennessee is allowing the third-most receiving yards per game (266.8) and its defence has been decimated by injuries. Bud Dupree, Amani Hooker and Kristian Fulton are among the lengthy list who feature on the Titans injury report.

Speaking of injuries, there's also a shot Chase makes his return this week.

We like the Bengals to win this game regardless of Chase's presence. But it's worth keeping an eye on his status, as a return to action would surely affect this line.

Key stat: The Bengals are 2-0 against the Titans with Burrow under centre.

Quick picks

Seahawks -3.5 (-113): We're happy to back the Seahawks at home coming off a bye. Especially considering they're playing the Las Vegas Raiders, who have been terrible this season.

Josh McDaniels' tenure has been a nightmare through 10 games. His team is 3-7 and Las Vegas has only picked up wins against the Broncos and Houston Texans — neither of whom can score.

Seattle has been lighting up the scoreboard and that's why we like them to cover Sunday. The Seahawks are averaging the fifth-most points per game (25.7) and have the seventh-best offensive DVOA (+10.9%), according to Football Outsiders.

Broncos vs. Panthers under 35.5 points (-113): The Broncos have hit the under in nine of 10 games this season. That trend should continue against the Panthers on Sunday.

Carolina was held to just three points against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 11 and we don't have much faith in Baker Mayfield to find his form any time soon.

Denver's defence is among the league's best. It is allowing the third-fewest points (17.1) and yards (302.1) per game.

But the Broncos are 3-7 despite that. That's largely because Russell Wilson, Nathanial Hackett and Co. can't get anything going on offence.
