Bills vs. Dolphins Week 3 picks

Best bet: Bills -6.5 (+110)

Buffalo's been the most dominant team in the NFL thus far so we're comfortable laying less than a touchdown against Miami.

The Bills have outscored their opponents 72-17 ahead of this game, comfortably winning each of their first two contests. Both the offence and defence have been clicking, which is why the Dolphins will likely struggle to reach the end zone and keep the road team out of theirs.

Buffalo has also owned Miami since Josh Allen took over as the team's starter. Allen is 7-1 against the Phins with seven consecutive wins and an average margin of victory of 16.4 points.

Although Miami's miraculous 42-38 win over the Baltimore Ravens was highly impressive, coming back from three touchdowns down in the fourth quarter does require a lot of things to go your way.

The Bills are steamrolling teams at the moment, and any opponent on the schedule is in danger of getting run over.

Key stat: Buffalo has covered this number in six of its last seven games against Miami.

Quick picks

Dolphins under 23.5 points (-108): Buffalo's defence has been terrifying this year. It's allowed the fewest rushing yards (132) and the second-fewest passing yards (298) in the NFL.

Miami's prized offensive line addition, left tackle Terron Armstead, has also missed two practices this week. He may be joining the team's other starting tackle, Austin Jackson, on the sidelines for this game.

That's bad news for Tua Tagovailoa, as his 50.0% pressured catchable ball rate ranks 22nd in the league, according to PlayerProfiler. Buffalo's pass rush should be able to get home, wreak havoc and keep Miami's point total low.

Bills -2.5, second half (-112): Overpowering doesn't even begin to describe how impressive the Bills have looked in the second half through two weeks.

Buffalo hasn't allowed a single point in the final two quarters in either of its games. The Bills have outscored their opponents 45-0 in the second half this season.
