The Miami Dolphins host the Buffalo Bills in an AFC East contest that should feature plenty of fireworks.

The pregame narrative: Both teams topped 40 points in Week 2 which makes this matchup one prop bettors will want to target. The game's total of 52.5 points is also tied for the highest mark of the week, meaning we should see plenty of points.

Bills vs. Dolphins Week 3 prop picks

Best bet: Total yards of longest touchdown - Over 43.5 yards (-114)

The Bills and Dolphins have shown that they can both score from anywhere on the field, which is why we're taking the over on this line.

Let's start with Buffalo. The Josh Allen to Stefon Diggs combo has been lethal to start this season. That's led to a pair of long touchdowns from this duo.

The pair connected on a 53-yard score in Week 1 against the Los Angeles Rams before following it up with a 46-yard score in Week 2 against the Tennessee Titans.

Miami struggled at limiting the Baltimore Ravens for explosive plays in Week 2. It allowed a 103-yard kickoff return touchdown to begin the game before ceding scores of 79 and 75 yards.

The Dolphins have also shown this year that the speed of Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle can produce offence at any time. Waddle hauled in a 42-yard touchdown in Week 1 while Hill earned touchdowns of 60 and 48 yards last week.

Key stat: Tua Tagovailoa ranks first in the NFL with four pass attempts of 40-plus yards, while Allen sits second with three.

Quick picks

Davis over 54.5 receiving yards (-114): Buffalo's WR2 missed last week's game against the Titans, but he'll be back against the Dolphins this Sunday.

The way Allen distributed the targets in Davis' absence last week should give bettors confidence in the over hitting on this line. The QB locked onto Diggs, targeting him 15 times while no other receiver saw more than five targets.

Davis should slot right back in as the clear No. 2 option. The 23-year-old caught four of his five targets for 88 yards and a score in Week 1.

Tagovailoa over 0.5 interceptions (-132): All the attention on Tagovailoa from Week 2 surrounded his six touchdowns, not the two interceptions he threw.

Although Buffalo's secondary will be without Dane Jackson and Micah Hyde in this game, the more notable injury is to Terron Armstead. The left tackle hasn't practiced yet this week, putting his status for this contest firmly in question. If he doesn't play, the Bills should be able to pressure Tagovailoa and force him to make a mistake.
