We've got another jam-packed slate of college football this Saturday and plenty of betting options to accompany it.

The pregame narrative: The Ohio State Buckeyes are poised to come out hot against the Wisconsin Badgers while the Florida Gators look to keep their rivalry against the Tennessee Volunteers one-sided. Meanwhile, the Georgia Bulldogs have the best defence in the nation and should shut down a far inferior opponent.

College football Week 4 picks

Best bet: Ohio State 1Q -4.5 (-120)

The Buckeyes are 19-point favourites on Saturday — and for good reason. Ohio State has dominated this matchup over the past decade, winning eight straight versus Wisconsin.

That said, only two of those eight wins would have covered this spread. That's why we're backing Ohio State to lead by 4.5-points or more after the first quarter.

OSU jumped out to a 21-point lead over Toledo in the first quarter last week, scoring four early touchdowns en route to dropping 77 points overall.

The offence is clicking and Heisman frontrunner C.J. Stroud looks unstoppable, having thrown for 941 yards and 11 touchdowns in three games.

With weapons like Marvin Harrison Jr., Emeka Egbuka, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba to deal with, Wisconsin should have its hands full. The latter just made his return from injury and is one of the top receivers in the nation.

Furthermore, we like how Ohio State matches up against Wisconsin defensively.

The Badgers' offence is predicated on a strong run game, which the Buckeyes are more than equipped to stop. Wisco averages 281.3 yards on the ground while OSU gives up just 84.3 per contest.

That run-based offence has also come out flat to start all three games. The Badgers have scored 118 points this year, but only 14 points have come in the opening quarter.

Key stats: Ohio State has averaged 16.3 first-quarter points against FBS opponents (second-best) while Wisconsin has averaged just 3.5 (T-81).

Quick picks

Florida +10.5 (-109): Tennessee looks good this year, but Florida has always been its kryptonite. The Gators have won 16 of their last 17 games against the Volunteers and covered a 10.5-point spread in the one loss.

Tennessee did demolish Akron and Ball State, but neither of those teams is a world-beater. And although the Vols took down ranked Pittsburgh in Week 2, they needed overtime to do it.

There's a good chance the Volunteers get their first win over the Gators since 2016 but we think 10.5-points is too lofty for a rivalry matchup.

Kent State/Georgia under 62 (-110): The Bulldogs' defence hasn't missed a beat since last season, allowing just 10 points through three games this year.

One of those matchups came against ranked Oregon, who could only muster a field goal in 60 minutes of action. The Golden Flashes may not cross midfield this game, so don't expect many points on their end.

All three of Georgia's games have gone under this total.
