Toronto FC look to snap a four-game winless drought when they host D.C. United on Saturday.

The pregame narrative: The Reds have lost three of their past four games (0-1-2) and now sit dead last in the Eastern Conference. Head coach Bob Bradley is on the hot seat and Federico Bernardeschi is being benched. Yet somehow, TFC are a +120 favourite to win this matchup as of Friday afternoon.

Bernardeschi was not happy with Bradley after last weekend's 0-1 defeat to Austin FC — and who could blame him? TFC slid to dead last in the conference and now own a horrible 2-7-5 record.

“We need to change something, we need more tactics, we need an idea of how we play. This is the real problem for me, it’s impossible to play like this,” the Italian forward said.

Bradley's response, it seems, was to bench him for Saturday's matchup against DC United.

For a team in desperate need of offence, Bernardeschi's presence will be sorely missed.

Toronto has been shut out in four consecutive games and is now up to six clean sheets against this season. Bernardeschi scored eight goals in 13 appearances last year and has three in 14 appearances this campaign.

D.C. United and Wayne Rooney are probably licking their chops at the prospect of heading north to BMO Field. TFC are 2-4-1 at home and while that's better than their 0-3-4 road record, it's still underwhelming.

The Black-and-Reds are in solid form right now, too. D.C. is coming off a 3-0 win over LA Galaxy and are now 4-2-1 in its last seven games. The team is 2-2-3 away from home this season with a draw, a loss and a win in its past three road fixtures.

Best TFC bet

D.C. United tie no bet (+138): This pick seems like a no-brainer to us. Toronto is in disarray on and off the pitch while D.C. is trending in a positive direction. Rooney's squad has only lost one of its past seven games, cashing this bet four times while pushing twice.

TFC, meanwhile, have lost four of their past six games (1-1-4) and only have two wins on the entire season. Overall, Toronto's opponents have cashed this bet five times, pushed seven times and lost twice.

Home-field advantage doesn't matter much either when most of the fanbase is actively calling for the manager's head.
