We've got a full slate of basketball this Sunday with eight more March Madness games.

The pregame narrative: The Miami Hurricanes have veteran talent and that should be the difference in their second-round matchup against the Indiana Hoosiers. We're also backing the Creighton Bluejays over the Baylor Bears and are taking the Gonzaga Bulldogs against the spread.

March Madness second-round picks

Best Bet: Miami ML (+107)

The Hurricanes are looking to advance to the Sweet 16 for the second time in as many years and we like their chances of making that happen.

Miami was sweating in its opening-round matchup against the Drake Bulldogs but eventually scraped out a 63-56 win. The Canes struggled to shoot, making just 30.4% of their shots from the field, but that kind of inefficiency won't be replicated on Sunday.

NCAA bracket: Play the bracket here

Jim Larranaga's squad ranks 12th in KenPom's adjusted offensive efficiency this season (117.7) and is 19th in points per game (78.9). The Hurricanes might have been lucky to get past the first round but we expect them to capitalize on that good fortune.

We're mostly bullish on Miami because of its experienced roster.

Isaiah Wong is one of the most seasoned guards in the country and he had a rare off-day on Friday, shooting just 1 of 10 from the field. That said, the junior is averaging 15.8 PPG this season and has been a force in this tournament before, averaging 16.25 points in Miami's Elite Eight run last season.

Indiana is a well-rounded team but it also struggled against top-level opponents this season, winning just six of its 17 quad-1 games.

Key stat: The Hoosiers have dropped two of their past five games while the Hurricanes have won four of their past five.

Quick picks

Creighton ML (+100): Creighton is a slight dog here but we're expecting the Blue Jays to make some noise against Baylor's poor defence.

The Bears rank 98th in adjusted defensive efficiency (101.3) but have seen success thanks to its lights-out offence (second in adjusted offensive efficiency).

That said, the Blue Jays are a stellar defensive team and also probably have the best player on the court in this matchup. Ryan Kalkbrenner is a true game-changer at 7-foot-1 and put up 31 points in Creighton's opening-round matchup.

Gonzaga -4.5 (-112): The Bulldogs are slight favourites on Sunday but we think they should have no problems dispatching the TCU Horned Frogs.

Gonzaga owns the best adjusted offensive efficiency in the country (123.8) and also scores the most points per game (86.4). It's a team loaded with talent and Mark Few has them clicking.

TCU barely scraped by the No. 11 Arizona State Sun Devils in its opening matchup and the Horned Frogs also lost two of its past four games by six or more points.
