It's a light night in the NBA but we're serving up three prop bet recommendations for the five-game slate.

The pregame narrative: We're starting out in Orlando and backing the Toronto Raptors' Scottie Barnes on a rebounding prop. To conclude the night, Austin Reaves looks like a solid play against a struggling Utah Jazz team that can't defend.

NBA prop bets

Best Bet: Barnes over 7.5 rebounds (+123)

Barnes is playing a team-high 34.6 minutes per night and this projects to be a close game, meaning he should clock in around that number again provided he doesn’t run into foul trouble.

Toronto is a +1.5 underdog, so the expectation is that Barnes will get plenty of run in the fourth quarter, unlike last game’s blowout win that limited him to 25 minutes and seven rebounds.

It marked the second consecutive game he came under this number (he had a season-low three boards versus the Celtics), though he’s still averaging 8.9 per game, making this an attractive plus-money play.

The Magic typically have an advantage on the glass, ranking fourth in the NBA in rebounding rate, but the Raps are right behind them at fifth.

Barnes leads both teams in RPG, hauling in 10-plus boards on five separate occasions this season.

Key stat: The third-year forward has topped this line in 11 of 13 games.

Quick picks

Jalen Johnson over 15.5 points (-115): The total for this Atlanta Hawks/Indiana Pacers game is bonkers, clocking in at 251.5 as of Tuesday afternoon.

Both teams score and neither defends well, setting up for an offensive explosion. As a result, we want in on the action. We’re turning our attention to Johnson, the third-year Hawks forward who has been doing damage as a complementary offensive piece.

Johnson has cleared this line in four of his past five games and is seeing 30-plus minutes of run per night. He's doing it with efficiency, too, shooting 60.8% from the field and 44.1% from long-range.

He has nailed two-plus 3-balls in five of his 12 games and has a good opportunity to add to that tonight and help him clear this line, something he has done in 50% of his games.

Indiana ranks 26th in the NBA in opponents' 3-point percentage and third in points per game. Bank on the 21-year-old to provide Trae Young and Dejounte Murray some help once again.

Reaves over 22.5 PRA (-106): We’re closing tonight’s recommendations out in Los Angeles,  where the Lakers get a Jazz team that ranks 27th in the NBA in defensive efficiency.

Reaves has been coming off the bench but that has done nothing to slow his production. In fact, he's playing better ball and that should continue tonight.

SituationPPGFG%PRA average
As starter13.141.6%21.5
As reserve13.750.9%25.7

The Jazz are surrendering 116.9 points per game and allowing opponents to shoot a blistering 48.9% from the field — both bottom-10 marks in the NBA.

Expect Reaves, who has topped this line in five of six games as a reserve, to continue his increased production in this plus matchup.
