The Detroit Lions host the Green Bay Packers for their annual Thanksgiving Day game.
The pregame narrative: Green Bay long-dominated the NFC North but now the division belongs to Detroit. The Lions are the class of the group and despite nearly losing to the Chicago Bears on Sunday, are a good pick to win and cover the spread against the Packers.

Best Bet: Lions -7.5 (-109)
Rhythm and Bruise, Thunder and Lightning, whatever you want to call it, Detroit has a lethal rushing attack.
Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery are causing nightmares for opposing defences. The duo averaged 5.2 yards per carry against a surprisingly stout Chicago run defence in last week's victory.

The Packers have not done a very good job at limiting opposing rushing attacks. They rank 24 in opponent yards per rush attempt (4.3) this season.
That plays right into the hands of a Lions team running the 10th-most frequently (43.9%) of any team and averaging the fourth-most rushing yards per attempt (4.6) this year.
The early-week injury report also says a lot about both teams as they prepare to get ready on a short week.

Take the better, and healthier, team on a short week of rest.
Key stat: The Lions have won three of their five home games by eight-plus points.
