One name stands above the rest in the Premier League's Golden Boot odds.

The latest: Erling Haaland set the EPL record for most goals last season and he's the odds-on favourite to lead the league again. Mohamed Salah has won three Golden Boots and holds solid value to get a fourth, while Isak Alexander is an interesting name to watch on a surging Newcastle side.

Best Premier League Golden Boot odds

The favourite: Erling Haaland (-400)

Haaland is the best player on the best team in Europe, the reigning Golden Boot winner, and is only 23 years old. Oh, and Harry Kane — a three-time Golden Boot winner — no longer plays in the league.

It makes sense that he's -400 to win after burying seven goals through City's first five games this season.

The Norwegian superstar's 36-goal campaign broke the EPL single-season record and 15 of those came in his first nine games. He also had four hat tricks to go along with five braces.

There's no reason to believe Haaland will slow down heading into his second year with the Sky Blues. He's still got elite playmakers like Jack Grealish to play alongside, as well as a coach who's an offensive mastermind.

Other Golden Boot choices

Best value: Mohamed Salah (+1,600)

Liverpool's striker has scored at least 19 goals in each of the past six seasons, winning three Golden Boots in that span. Salah is the heart of an offence that scored 75 goals last season (No. 3 in the league) and we think the team will be even better this year.

The Reds have made some strong additions in the midfield with Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai. Better play in the midfield means more scoring opportunities for Salah.

He was held scoreless in Liverpool's opener but found the net twice since.

Player to watch: Isak Alexander (+3,300)

Newcastle United rocketed up the Premier League table last season, finishing fourth and qualifying for the Champions League for the first time in 20 years.

The team buried the sixth-most goals (69) and Alexander accounted for 10 of those. He scored two goals in Newcastle's 5-1 rout of Aston Villa in Matchday 1.

The 23-year-old forward is the key cog of an up-and-coming side that should only improve moving forward.
