Auger-Aliassime looks for his second medal at Paris 2024.
He and Gabriela Dabrowski won bronze in mixed doubles yesterday, beating the Netherlands' Wesley Koolhof and Demi Schuurs in straight sets.
FAA toppled some of the world's best before falling to Alcaraz in the semifinal (6-1, 6-1).
He beat ATP No. 5-ranked Daniil Medvedev in straight sets in the third round before taking down Casper Ruud in the quarterfinal.
Musetti beat Taylor Fritz and Alexander Zverev in the third round and quarters before losing to Djokovic (6-4, 6-2) in the semis.
The 22-year-old has a 63.9% win percentage on clay, which is his best of any surface. He is 17-10 on clay in 2024.
Auger-Aliassime is 18-7 on clay this year and made it to the fourth round of the French Open, also hosted at Rolland Garros, before losing to Alcaraz there, too.
He has a 3-2 record against Musetti and has won each of the last two matchups. But the last meeting came back in 2022 at the Davis Cup.
The odds indicate this should be a close match with three sets being the expectation.
