The New York Knicks aim to bounce back after a tough loss to the Philadelphia 76ers.

The pregame narrative: New York lost by 11 points in Game 3 and enters this contest as a fairly significant underdog. The Knicks are worth teasing up against the spread in Game 4. Additionally, I'm taking the under on the total and Tyrese Maxey's points prop to round out this ticket.

Parlay: Knicks +7.5 + Under 213.5 points + Maxey under 25.5 points (+285)

Knicks +7.5 (-175): Game 3 was tough all around for New York.

The defensively-dominant team failed to contain Philadelphia's top scorer, Joel Embiid. The big man lit up the Knicks for 50 points while going 5-for-7 from deep.

That output, however, was very different from what he was producing earlier in the series. Embiid hit four threes on 17 attempts in Games 1 and 2.

I expect the Knicks' defence to respond and neutralize Philadelphia's offence. New York ranked 10th in defensive efficiency this season (111.1).

The Knicks have covered this spread in six of seven meetings between these squads in 2024 and lead this series, 2-1.

Other parlay picks

Under 213.5 points (-195): Neither of these teams plays particularly fast.

Philadelphia is tied for a middling 17th in pace (99.5). Its offence ranked 15th in points per game (114.6) during the regular season.

New York plays slower than any other squad in the league. It ranks last in pace (97.2) and 19th in points per game (112.8).

More importantly, the Knicks' play style limits opposing possessions. They're ceding the second-fewest points per game (108.2) as a result.

The under on this total has hit in four of the last six meetings between these two.

Maxey under 25.5 points (-122): Lastly, I'm fading Maxey.

The point guard has mostly filled the bucket in this series. He's averaging 31.0 points per game and has been an integral part of the offence.

He did, however, fall short of this mark in Game 3 and I'm expecting him to do so again.

New York has been a tough matchup for point guards all season long. It's ceding the fewest points per game to the position in the league (22.64), according to Betting Pros.

Expect the Knicks to tighten up and keep Maxey in check in Game 4.
