To no one's surprise, Scottie Scheffler is favoured to win the upcoming PGA Championship at Valhalla Golf Course.
The latest: Scheffler has won four of his last five starts, including the Masters. He's doing things the golf world hasn't seen in a long time and is the only player holding shorter than 10-to-1 odds.

Best odds to win the PGA Championship
The favourite: Scottie Scheffler (+350)
The only thing holding Scheffler back from five straight wins was a five-foot missed putt in Texas.
Other than that, the 27-year-old has been spotless.
He won the Arnold Palmer Invitational, Players Championship and RBC Heritage in addition to the Masters. Three of his last four wins have come by three-plus strokes.
Scheffler is boat racing the PGA Tour in strokes gained: tee-to-green (+2.835). The gap between him and second-place Hideki Matsuyama (+1.535) is greater than the gap between Matsuyama and the 65th-ranked player (Adam Scott, +0.237).
He's had four top-10 finishes at majors between his two Masters wins, including a T2 at the PGA Championship last year.
Another win would shock no one.
PGA Championship betting notes
- Rory McIlroy follows Scheffler on the odds board but he's had a disappointing start to the season. The Northern Irishman only has one top-10 on the PGA Tour (Valero Texas Open) and finished T22 at the Masters.
- Ludvig Aberg finished runner-up to Scheffler at the Masters in his first major start. He's one of the best drivers of the ball on tour and can putt the lights out, too. This should be a great course fit for the sophomore.
- Brooks Koepka is +1,600 to defend his title. He had a tough showing at Augusta but has three wins and a T2 in his last six PGA Championship starts.
- Max Homa's T3 at the Masters was his best-ever major finish. That came after recording a T10 at last year's Open Championship. Homa has won big events before and is trending in the right direction at majors.
- Corey Conners holds the shortest odds of any Canadian to win. He finished T12 at last year's PGA Championship.
