The Denver Nuggets can close out their series against the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday.

The pregame narrative: Denver has dominated Los Angeles for quite some time and I don't expect that to change tonight. I expect the Nuggets to win a lower-scoring contest where D'Angelo Russell has a minimal impact.

Check out the full Nuggets vs. Lakers SGP picks for Game 4 of their first-round matchup on April 27.

Nuggets vs. Lakers SGP picks

Parlay: Nuggets moneyline + Under 222.5 points + Russell under 14.5 points (+255)

Nuggets moneyline (-157): Los Angeles has to feel pretty defeated at this point.

The Lakers have thrown their hardest punch and it's just not enough to knock down Denver. They've lost 11 consecutive games to the Nuggets dating back to last season, including all seven playoff battles.

It seems foolish to expect a different result on Saturday. L.A. has needed to dig down deep on multiple occasions against Denver and its best just isn't enough.

The Lakers didn't tweak their roster at all over the offseason and can't be surprised that the results are the same. The Nuggets are the better team and should complete the sweep.

Other parlay picks

Under 222.5 points (-180): There haven't been any barn burners in this series.

No game has finished with more than 217 points and only one contest has been decided by three points or fewer.

It's a style of basketball that plays right into the hands of the Nuggets. They enter this game with the highest under percentage in the NBA (58.8%).

There certainly is some correlation between a Denver win and the under, especially against a team like Los Angeles. The Lakers have the fifth-best over percentage in the league (54.7%).

The under on this total has cashed in four of the last five outings between these two teams.

Russell under 14.5 points (-124): Russell may just be the ultimate boom-or-bust player in the NBA.

His efforts in this series best exemplify this. He opened the playoffs with a casual 13-point effort before topping that in Game 2 with a break-out, 23-point performance.

And how did he follow that up, you ask?

With the dud of all duds. He recorded zero points in 24 minutes while going 0-for-7 from the field and 0-for-6 from three.

Fading Russell in a very difficult matchup is the right play more often than not. Denver allowed the third-fewest points per game to point guards (22.72), according to Betting Pros.
