The pregame narrative: France begins their tournament with Austria, and I expect a defensively sound game. Elsewhere, Belgium and Slovakia face off in what I predict will be a high-scoring contest.

France enters its first match day as the joint-favourite, with England, to win it all (+390).

In a friendly with Canada on June 9, France showcased its style for this tournament, controlling the tempo and taking very few risks inside its own half.
Les Bleus weren't fielding their best side and still limited Canada to zero shots on target.

Belgium/Slovakia over 2.5 goals (-132): I am someone who has little faith in Belgium's defence. However, I do believe in its offensive talent.
The Red Devils topped their group in qualifying, going 6-2-0 and finishing first. This line would've cashed in five out of those eight games.
They are led by arguably the best attacking midfielder in the sport, Kevin De Bruyne, who is a threat to create chances every time he touches the ball.
He has an array of talented strikers and wingers to create for as well.
Romelu Lukaku is the most noticeable as the nation's all-time leading goalscorer (85) and seems to show no signs of slowing down. He bagged two goals in their most recent friendly against Luxembourg.
Slovakia is no joke in the attacking half either. The pair of Ondrej Duda and Stanislav Lobotka play in the Serie A and are equipped with the talent to control play and create chances for the country's youthful attack.
That was on display in their most recent friendly with Wales, where Slovakia won 4-0.
