I've got my sights on two picks for Wednesday's Euro 2024 games.
The pregame narrative: Matchday 2 kicks off Wednesday and I have two bets from Group A action. I'm taking Germany to continue to be an offensive powerhouse while also backing Switzerland to win against Scotland.

Euro 2024 best bet
Best Bet: Germany to score in both halves (-109)
Germany's offence was clicking on all cylinders in the opening match of Euro 2024.
The host nation beat Scotland 5-1 and looked dominant across both halves of soccer. I'm expecting much of the same to kick off Matchday 2.
The opening-day effort was not led by one man. Germany had five unique goalscorers across the 90 minutes.
Germany held 73% of the possession and generated 20 shots (10 on target).
The front four of Florian Wirtz, Ilkay Gundogan, Jamal Musiala and Kai Havertz were electric, trotting into the opponent's box with ease. That allowed them to find great looks at goal and even draw a penalty that was converted.
The defensive core allows those four to play with such freedom and it is hard to see Hungary slowing them down.
Especially after watching Hungary's defence allow Switzerland to score three goals and generate seven shots on target.
As I'll discuss later, I like Switzerland as a dark horse team — but Germany is a particularly daunting beast.
Key stat: Germany scored multiple goals in each half of its opening win over Scotland.
Quick pick
Switzerland to win (-117): Switzerland always finds a way to exceed expectations on the international stage.
That was apparent in its 3-1 victory over Hungary in its first match. The offence was strong, creating 15 shots despite splitting the possession evenly.
We just saw Scotland's defence get picked apart by the Germans and even though Switzerland isn't in the same tier as Germany, I think the Swiss are an underrated side.
They made it to the quarterfinal of Euro 2020 and shouldn't feel too much resistance getting out of the group this time around either.
The Scots, in my opinion, are the worst team in Group A. They look shaky so far this year, drawing to Finland (61st-ranked national team) and losing to Northern Ireland (73rd-ranked national team).
Success will be hard to find against the No. 19-ranked Switzerland.
