MLB parlay picks April 20: Bet on Blue Jays, Cubs to win

Two moneylines and an under find their way into Saturday's MLB parlay picks.

The pregame narrative: The Toronto Blue Jays and Chicago Cubs both have starting pitching edges that are worth backing. Elsewhere, an under between the Seattle Mariners and Colorado Rockies at the ultra-hitter-friendly Coors Field rounds out this ticket.

Check out my MLB parlay picks for April 20.

MLB parlay picks

Parlay: Blue Jays moneyline + Cubs moneyline + Mariners/Rockies under 11.5 runs (+327)

Blue Jays moneyline (-117): Jose Berrios is dealing and I want in against the San Diego Padres.

The star pitcher boasts a 1.05 ERA and is holding opposing hitters to a minuscule .202 batting average.

He's been untouchable in his last two starts, giving up six hits and zero runs with 13 strikeouts across 13.2 innings pitched. Opponents are swatting a microscopic .339 OPS during this run.

Berrios has worked six innings or more in all four of his starts, and that's huge considering Toronto's early-season bullpen struggles (5.16 ERA).

San Diego counters with Randy Vásquez and the ex-New York Yankee is making his first appearance of the season. He pitched 37.2 innings in 11 games last year, so it's unlikely he works deep into Saturday's contest.

That could be problematic after Matt Waldron lasted just 4.2 innings in the series debut. The Padres could be thin on relievers, supplying Toronto with another advantage.

Other parlay picks

Cubs moneyline (-215): Roddery Munoz makes his MLB debut for the Miami Marlins and I don't anticipate it going well.

The starting pitcher has struggled in both Double-A and Triple-A, giving me little optimism for his prospects in the majors. Munoz has allowed 13 earned runs in 10.2 innings pitched with the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, Miami's Triple-A affiliate.

Chicago, meanwhile, turns to Shota Imanaga and he's been sensational. The Japanese star has allowed zero earned runs in three starts (15.1IP) this season.

The Cubs won all three of his outings convincingly.

Miami is also fighting a pretty drastic offensive disadvantage. The Marlins rank 29th in team OPS (.596) while Chicago is sixth (.750).

Mariners/Rockies under 11.5 runs (-180): Seattle is a great under wager, regardless of where it's playing.

The Mariners are fighting it at the plate. They rank 24th in OPS (.643) and 27th in runs (66), putting themselves among the worst offences in baseball.

They still have one of the league's best pitching staffs, however, sitting 11th in ERA (3.93).

Luis Castillo takes the bump in this contest and he's trending in the right direction. Castillo fanned nine and only allowed two earned runs across six innings his last time out, putting forth his best start of the season.

He brings a 5.82 ERA into this game but does pair that with a highly encouraging 3.07 FIP.

All that altitude isn't doing much for Colorado. The Rockies are a middling 15th in OPS (.701) and a disheartening 22nd in runs (76).

Seattle is tied for the best under percentage (66.7%) in the majors.
