What kept Nylander out of the lineup in Games 1 through 3? We may never fully know.
Some reports suggest it was migraines, but neither he nor those in the organization have confirmed that.
Regardless, Toronto is "preparing" to have its star forward back and that could be a difference-maker in this series.
Nylander is coming off his best regular season to date. He finished the campaign with 98 points across 82 games while hitting the 40-goal mark for a second consecutive year.
His production, however, did take a pretty drastic dip after the all-star game. He had 61 points in 47 games before the pause and 37 points in 35 contests afterward.
Bettors will want to take a cautious approach in Nylander's return to the lineup.
The Toronto winger was struggling before his absence. He failed to register a point in six of his last nine outings to close out the regular season.
His usage will certainly be worth monitoring. He's projected to play alongside Pontus Holmberg and Calle Jarnkrok on the team's third line, but he may be used in a limited capacity if he's not fully healthy.
The Maple Leafs have scored just six goals through three contests. Another low-scoring game likely awaits, which makes Nylander a solid pick to not record a point at +185.
