Raptors vs. Jazz preview
After making four selections in the 2024 NBA Draft and bringing in numerous undrafted free agents, Toronto has an influx of young talent.
That talent might be weakened heading into tonight's matchup with both Gradey Dick and 31st overall pick Jonathan Mogbo leaving Sunday's game against the Denver Nuggets with injuries.
If they aren't good to go, then there will be more opportunities for others.
One of the beneficiaries is third-year man Ochai Agbaji. The 24-year-old has yet to dominate as you would expect from a player of his status. He will be playing his former team after Toronto acquired Agbaji from Utah at the trade deadline last season.
The Raptors will be taking on a strong Jazz squad featuring 2023 ninth overall pick Taylor Hendricks, 2024 10th overall pick Cody Williams, and 2024 29th overall pick Isaiah Collier.
The latter was a part of that Agbaji swap as the Jazz acquired the pick to select Collier. The rookie has averaged 10.5 points, five assists, and four rebounds thus far.
The best player for Utah however has been Williams. The brother of Oklahoma City Thunder star Jalen Williams has been one of the most impactful players throughout Summer League. The 19-year-old is averaging 17.5 points and nearly three rebounds and assists through two games.
