Wednesday was supposed to feature a pair of French Open men's quarterfinal matches, but Novak Djokovic's withdrawal cuts the action in half.
The latest: Casper Ruud is through to the semifinals via a walkover after Djokovic bowed out with a knee injury. In the lone men's singles match of the day, Alexander Zverev is the favourite to beat Alex de Minaur.
Check out the latest French Open men's quarterfinals odds as of June 4.
Zverev vs. de Minaur odds
Alexander Zverev (-245) vs. Alex de Minaur (+195)
Zverev was three points away from a four-set loss against Dane Holger Rune. But he clawed back while remaining impressively calm to win the match in five.
That's the second five-set victory in as many rounds for the fourth-ranked Zverev, while de Minaur is coming off a 4-6, 6-2, 6-1, 6-3 win over No. 5 Daniil Medvedev.
Zverev has the edge in head-to-head history over No. 11 de Minaur, 7-2, but the pair has won one match apiece against each other in 2024.
Those were both on hard court, mind you. Zverev's career win percentage on clay (.698) far outdoes de Minaur's record on the surface (.568).
