Victor Wembanyama makes his Olympics debut in a home-court setting as France faces Brazil on Saturday at the Paris Summer Games.

The pregame narrative: France is a massive favourite in its tournament opener against Brazil, and Wembanyama will be one of the players the host country is expected to lean on. Wemby has the highest projected totals for points, rebounds and PRA among all players in this matchup.

Check out these Wembanyama Olympics props for the July 27 game.

Wembanyama carried massive expectations atop his 7-foot-4 frame entering his NBA rookie season, and the results were spectacular.

He won Rookie of the Year honours, finished second in Defensive Player of the Year voting and was named to the NBA's All-Defensive first team.

Wembanyama accomplished all of that on a minute restriction, too. For most of the season, the Frenchman played 30 minutes or less to help his body accommodate the tough NBA schedule.

Now Wembanyama gets to show out for his nation alongside DPOY winner Rudy Gobert.

He'll lead one of the favourites, France, into the tournament looking for his first Olympic medal. The journey starts with Brazil.

Best Wembanyama prop bet

Best Bet: Over 1.5 threes (-139)

For such a tall athlete, Wembanyama has a great feel for the sport and a touch to match it. He hit 1.8 threes per game on 5.5 attempts (32.5%) and got better as his rookie season progressed.

Most 7-foot-4 players don't shoot threes, let alone leave the paint, but Wembanyama is different. He plays like Kevin Durant on offence while using his incredibly long reach on defence to stifle opponents.

His points prop of 19.5 points is worth a look but with the looming potential of a blowout, I'd rather take him to hit two-plus threes even at the juiced odds.

Key stat: Wembanyama cashed this line in four of five NBA games played in April.
