Bulls vs. Heat SGP play-in picks: Bet on Adebayo, Jaquez to carry Miami at +295

The final Eastern Conference playoff is up for grabs in South Beach tonight.

The pregame narrative: The Chicago Bulls are slim road underdogs against a Jimmy Butler-less Miami Heat squad. I'm expecting Bam Adebayo and Jaime Jaquez Jr. to step out and lead Miami to a win.

Check out the full Bulls vs. Heat SGP picks for their play-in tournament matchup on April 19.

Bulls vs. Heat SGP picks

Parlay: Heat moneyline + Adebayo double-double + Jaquez over 13.5 points (+295)

Heat moneyline (-120): I'm not buying what Chicago is selling, even with Butler out.

The Bulls eeked into the play-in with a 39-43 record and a -1.7 net rating (20th in the NBA). This team is nowhere near good enough to be in the playoffs and will be sent packing in four games by the Boston Celtics if it somehow wins tonight.

Miami might be without its top dog but it has playoff experience. The Heat downed the Bulls in last year's play-in before going on an improbable NBA Finals run.

That will matter in this situation and I'm not about to undersell the coaching mismatch between Erik Spoelstra and Billy Donovan, either.

The Heat went 13-9 without Butler this year and were 22-9 as a home favourite.

Other parlay picks

Adebayo double-double (-295): Adebayo narrowly hit this line in Wednesday's play-in game with a 10-point, 12-rebound effort.

But he should be much more active tonight.

Adebayo averaged 22.1 points and 11.3 rebounds in 21 games without Jimmy Butler this year. He recorded a double-double in 17 of those contests, including 11 of his last 12 without the small forward.

This is an all-hands-on-deck situation for Spoelstra and the Heat so expect Adebayo to get well north of his average playing time (34.0 MPG).

Jaquez over 13.5 points (-125): I love this play as a standalone and will also be teasing Jaquez's point total up to 16.5 and taking the over at +185.

The rookie swingman out of UCLA is a dog. He's averaging 11.9 points per game this season but that number goes up to 15.4 in games where Butler is out.

Jaquez is capable of having a huge night and he's already torched the Bulls three times this season for 18, 19 and 22 points (he scored six in a fourth game vs. CHI).

The big stage is no stranger to Jaquez — he averaged 23.3 PPG in the NCAA tournament last year — and I expect him to show out tonight.
