Canada takes on host nation France in the quarterfinal of the Olympic men's basketball tournament.
The pregame narrative: The Canadians went a perfect 3-0 in the group stage and are 7.5-point favourites to take down Victor Wembanyama and France. I'm betting on Canada to clear its point total against the hosts.

Best Bet: Canada over 85.5 points (-121)
I think Canada will win this game but don't want any part of the moneyline price.
And seven points plus a hook seems like a lot to lay against France, even though it just lost 85-71 against Germany. Les Bleus won their other two group-stage games and had some questionable calls go their way in a nail-biter against Japan.
So instead, I'll take Canada to clear its 85.5-point total.
The Canadians cleared this mark in all three of their group-stage matchups while averaging 89.0 PPG.
They've actually gone over this number in eight of their last 10 games with the exceptions being a 86-72 loss to the United States and a 85-73 win over ... France
But I won't let that result discourage me. After all, it was a friendly game back in July and the Canadians were only one point shy of cashing this wager.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored a game-high 23 points in that contest and he should continue to do his thing on Tuesday. He's averaging 19.0 PPG this tournament and is one of the best scorers on the planet.
Rudy Gobert and Wembanyama combine for a fierce defensive tandem, but both of them do their best work on the interior. There aren't many elite perimeter defenders on France's roster, except for when Wemby makes his way out to the 3-point line.
France has allowed 85 and 90 points in its last two games. I expect Canada to shoot freely — and score plenty — on Tuesday.
Key stat: Canada is averaging 93.0 PPG in its last five games.
