The New York Knicks take a 2-0 lead on the road for tonight's matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers.
The pregame narrative: Philadelphia is favoured despite dropping five of six games against New York this season. I'm backing the Knicks to cover an alt spread in this +260 ticket while backing Donte DiVincenzo and Joel Embiid in the prop market.

Knicks vs. 76ers SGP picks
Parlay: Knicks +8.5 + DiVincenzo over 2.5 threes + Embiid over 29.5 threes (+260)
Knicks +8.5 (-175): It'd be fair to argue that the Knicks shouldn't be ahead 2-0 in this series. But New York has shown enough to make me feel good about this number.
New York is 5-1 straight up against Philadelphia this season, winning three of those games by a double-digit margin. And the Knicks' lone loss against the Sixers came by just six points.
In their past 15 games, the Knicks have covered this line 14 times. Going back to the start of March, they've covered a +8.5 spread in 21 of 24 games.
Philly was a solid home team this season, going 26-16 at Wells Fargo Center. But the Sixers' average point differential at home is just 4.8 points, per Team Rankings, so I think the Knicks can keep it within this number.
Other parlay picks
DiVincenzo over 2.5 threes (-200): DiVincenzo hit a go-ahead three in the final minute of Game 2, eliciting a supremely rare "double bang" from Mike Breen. So, yeah, I want to see that guy continue to fire from deep.
In his fifth NBA season, DiVincenzo broke out as a 3-point shooter. He shot 40.1% from 3-point range on a career-high 8.7 attempts per game.
DiVincenzo has gone over 2.5 threes in 53 of 83 games this year (63.9%).
After going 4-for-8 from deep in Game 2, the shooting guard has cashed this prop in five of six games against the 76ers.
Embiid over 29.5 points (-190): Embiid has struggled mightily from the field so far, but his scoring volume hasn't really suffered.
The two-time reigning scoring champ is 20-of-51 from the floor (39.2%), as well as 4-of-17 from beyond the arc (23.5%). Still, he finished with 29 points in Game 1 and 34 points last time out.
Dating back to the 2022-23 season, Embiid has 30-plus points in five of six games against the Knicks. And he's hit the 30-point mark in 32 of 41 games this year.
Philadelphia needs a win tonight and Embiid will certainly want to be in charge.
