The No. 8 seeds in both conferences will be decided on Friday night as the NBA play-in tournament hits its crescendo.

The latest: Zion Williamson was ruled out with a hamstring injury, which moved the New Orleans Pelicans from being favourites to underdogs at home. In the East, the Miami Heat are seeking a fifth straight playoff appearance.

Betting insights

  • Chicago is on a four-game ATS win streak and a five-game run of overs. Also, each of the past three matchups between the Bulls and Heat hit the over.
  • New Orleans went 5-0 ATS as an underdog against Sacramento this season, and the Pelicans won all five games straight up. Friday's over/under opened at 218.5 points, which is a number both teams went under in their first play-in game.
