Group play is finished, and now there are just eight men's basketball squads left competing for gold at Paris 2024.
The latest: Canada won Group A and is expected to advance past the host nation, France, in the quarterfinal. All four favourites — Germany, Serbia, Canada and the USA — are laying at least 6.5 points in the Round of 8.
Here are the latest Olympic men's basketball quarterfinal odds as of Aug. 4.
Olympic men's basketball quarterfinal odds
Someone from the "group of death" was going to be left out of the quarterfinal stage, and that turned out to be Spain.
The remaining field is full of the top competitors, led by the heavily-favoured USA (-670 to claim gold).
Beyond the Americans, though, there's still plenty of NBA star power among the other teams: Nikola Jokic (Serbia), Giannis Antetokounmpo (Greece) and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Canada), to name a few.
Tuesday's winners will have to turn around and play in the semis on Wednesday, followed by Saturday's medal round.

Greece may have the best individual player in this matchup with Antetokounmpo, but Germany has proven itself to be a far more dangerous team.
In group play, Germany won all three of its matchups by 13-plus points. Five German players are averaging double-digit points, led by rising Orlando Magic star Franz Wagner (21.7 PPG on 51.1% shooting).
Greece went 1-2 in group play, sneaking past Australia to find a way into the knockout round. At last year's FIBA World Cup, Germany beat an Antetokounmpo-less Greece, 84-71.

Based on moneyline odds, this matchup is expected to be the closest of the four.
Serbia is still a pretty notable favourite, though, despite losing to Australia, 84-73, in an exhibition match less than three weeks ago.
Jokic had a 14-rebound double-double in that game, and he's been as good as you might expect in the meaningful matchups of this tournament. The reigning NBA MVP averaged 18.7 points, 11.0 rebounds and 7.0 assists in the group stage.
Australia is coming off back-to-back losses against Canada and Greece, but the Boomers are a deep squad that could make this one interesting.

Wembanyama has given the home crowd plenty to cheer about so far, but his team still finds itself at risk of an early exit.
After a fortunate overtime win over Japan, France was no match for Germany to close out group play. The French are now just 2-5 in their past seven international games, which includes a handful of pre-tournament friendlies in July.
One of those friendlies came against Canada. With Jamal Murray on the sidelines, the Canadians cruised to an 85-73 win over the French.
Canada's lack of size was deemed a concern in that matchup, but the team was only out-rebounded by two (33-31).

The lopsided nature of this matchup is best indicated by the fact that the moneyline market is off the board. Team USA should bury Brazil.
There were some too-close-for-comfort results in the Americans' pre-tournament friendlies — including a one-point win over South Sudan — but the star-studded bunch has clearly locked in. They won all three of their group stage games by 17-plus points.
Brazil (1-2) rode a 33-point masterclass from Bruno Caboclo to beat Japan and get in. It'll take more than a Caboclo heat check game to keep this one close, though.
