There are intriguing matchups across the board in Week 6 with plenty of fun options to build a parlay with.

The pregame narrative: The Edmonton Elks record does not accurately reflect their play on the field and I like them to snag their first win against the Ottawa Redblacks. Elsewhere, I like the under this week in both Winnipeg and Montreal for a +454 ticket.

Parlay: Elks moneyline + Argonauts/Alouettes under 51.5 points + Stampeders/Blue Bombers under 47.5 points (+454)

Elks moneyline (-180): The Elks are still in search of their first win and I like them to do it at home against the Redblacks.

Don't let Edmonton's record fool you, despite being 0-4 it has only lost by a combined 17 points to the four best teams in the league (Alouettes, Roughriders, Lions, and Argonauts). It's almost impressive how the Elks have come so close to beating the league's best yet haven't won a single game.

The stats would indicate that Edmonton is better than its record suggests as well. It's averaging the fourth-most offensive yards per game (353.5), the third-fewest passing yards against per game (279.8), and has the second-highest second-down conversion rate (57.3%) in the CFL.

Meanwhile, Ottawa has struggled offensively out of the gate and it could get worse with QB Dru Brown exiting last week's game after a late hit.

Dustin Crum entered the game at quarterback and in limited action completed eight passes for 102 yards.

The Redblacks will have to rely more on their run game which is something they don't typically do, as they only have 77 rushing attempts on the year (third-fewest).

Other parlay picks

Argonauts/Alouettes under 51.5 points (-117): I'll always argue in favour of the under when two of the league's top defensive units face off.

The Montreal Alouettes defence, however, stands head and shoulders above the rest. Throughout a 13-game win streak dating back to Week 16 of last year, the Als have held the opposition to an average of 17.1 points per game.

That's elite.

Furthermore, before this week they had not allowed more than 24 points since Week 14 of 2023, but Calgary scored 26 in last week's matchup, breaking that streak.

The Argonauts defence has been among the CFL's best themselves. It is in the top two in offensive yards allowed (336.5), rushing yards allowed (52.8), and first downs allowed (83).

These teams matched up in Week 4 where they combined for 50 points, sneaking under the 51.5 total.

Stampeders/Blue Bombers under 47.5 points (-110): I also like the under in Winnipeg but for poor offence and not stout defence.

Both of these offences fail to push the ball downfield and the numbers reflect that. Both are in the bottom four in offensive yards per game, passing yards, and touchdowns.

Also, both teams had poor performances on offence a week ago. The Calgary Stampeders only mustered 278 yards and Jake Maier completed 18 passes for only 106 yards.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers only put up 25 points and Chris Streveler didn't do much better than Maier, completing 13 passes for 127 yards.

Similar to the Als and Argos, the Stamps and Bombers matched up in Week 4 and smashed the under only combining for 41 points.
