Lionel Messi and Argentina defend their Copa America title on Sunday against Colombia.
The pregame narrative: Argentina will have its hands full with a Colombian side riding a 28-game unbeaten streak. Los Cafeteros have scored a tournament-best 12 goals and are coming off a dramatic 1-0 win. I'm backing Colombia to at least be tied after 90 minutes plus stoppage time.

Argentina vs. Colombia prediction
Best Bet: Colombia or tie (-134)
The last time Colombia lost a game was on February 1, 2022 ... to Argentina.
Since then, you'd be hard-pressed to find a side in better form than Los Cafeteros. Nestor Lorenzo's boys are 22-6-0 with wins over Spain, Brazil, Germany and Uruguay. They've scored goals in 13 straight games, with multiple goals in six of their last eight.
Colombia went 2-1-0 in the group stage with a 1-1 draw to Brazil before blowing past Panama 5-0 in the quarterfinal.
But I was most impressed with its semifinal showing.
Lorenzo's side dug deep to hold Uruguay scoreless despite being sent down to 10 men right before halftime. A complete defensive effort held a strong Uruguayan attack to 0.68 xG on just one shot on target in the second half, according to The Analyst.
Argentina deserves respect but I can't help to look at its recent fixtures and be unimpressed. The team beat Canada (twice), Ecuador, Peru and Chile en route to the final.
None of those teams rank inside FIFA's top 30 and Argentina had to go to penalties against Ecuador and was broken down defensively on a few occasions by Les Rouges.
Colombia has had a much tougher path to the final and has looked better.
The team's offence is dynamic — James Rodríguez broke Messi's assist record while Luis Diaz, Daniel Munoz, Jhon Cordoba and Jefferson Lerma have two goals apiece — and the defence is stout.
Colombia has allowed the fewest xG per 90 (0.50) of any team in the tournament.
Key stat: Colombia has cashed this wager in 28 straight games.
