Copa America has come down to two remaining nations: Argentina and Colombia.
Argentina was the pre-tournament favourite so it's no surprise seeing the reigning World Cup champions in another final at Copa America. Colombia entered this tournament in incredible form and aims to defeat a South American rival in the final.
Check out our Copa America final betting preview, which features odds for the final, historical trends and key stats.
Copa America final betting preview: Trends and key stats
Let's take a look at some betting trends throughout Copa America heading into the final, courtesy of OddsPortal:
- Favourites straight up: 17-13
- Underdogs straight up: 5-25
- Draws: 8-22
- Overs (2.5 goals in regulation): 12-18
- Unders (2.5 goals in regulation): 18-12
Trends show us that dogs have been rather unsuccessful at Copa America (5-25 SU) but Colombia has been given the distinction twice this far, fairing much better than the mean, winning one (vs. Uruguay) and tying the other (vs. Brazil).
Argentina has been the favourite in all of its games. The only blemish on its record is a full-time draw against Ecuador (won on penalties).
The defending Copa America champs will look to win one more as the favourite and end Colombia's 27-game unbeaten streak.
Unders have hit at a higher rate than the overs which is reflected in under 2.5 goals being -200.
Only one game since the group stage has passed this mark and it was Colombia's 5-0 win over Panama in the quarterfinals.
How they got here
Argentina: La Albiceleste cruised through Group A, winning all three games and gathering nine points. They first faced resistance in the quarterfinals when it took penalties to knock off Ecuador.
Lionel Messi and Co. had an easier go against Canada in the semifinals. The boys in blue and white won 2-0 and never really looked in danger of losing the match.
Colombia: Los Cafeteros topped a group that included Brazil before laying a 5-0 beat down on Panama in the quarterfinals.
They looked in danger in the semis against Uruguay, receiving a red card in the first half just minutes after scoring to make it 1-0. Colombia was able to hold on to that lead despite being a man down and earned its spot in the final.
Copa America final betting preview: Who has the edge?
Each side has been extremely strong on both sides of the ball. Argentina has conceded just one goal this tournament while scoring eight.

Colombia has seen similar success. The nation has scored 12 goals while allowing just two.
These truly are the two most deserving teams and neither side has seen much of a challenge. The story in this final will be which defence can shut down the opposing offence as both teams are full of firepower.
The last time these nations played was in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers — Argentina won 1-0. Since then Colombia has gone on the previously mentioned 27-game unbeaten streak with holds strong coming into the final.
Colombia is -162 to either win or tie after 90 minutes plus added time.
Players to watch and goalscorer odds
Messi unsurprisingly leads the table with the shortest odds to score in the final.
Despite only scoring one goal this tournament (in the semifinal vs. Canada), the 37-year-old is always a major threat to improve on his 109 goals for his country.

Lautaro Martinez | +310 |

Soccer odds as of 11:55 a.m. on 07/11/2024.
Lautaro Martinez holds the second shortest odds and is currently leading the Golden Boot race at Copa America with four goals.
The first name from Colombia on the table is Liverpool's Luis Diaz. He currently has two goals in the competition.
James Rodriguez is 8-to-1 odds to score as the Colombian is on a shortlist of players in contention for player of the tournament. Not so much for his goalscoring but more for his playmaking.
He leads the tournament with five assists.
