After an entertaining Week 5 that saw high-octane offence and some shutdown defence, Week 6 has plenty of intriguing matchups itself.

The latest: The Montreal Alouettes and Toronto Argonauts will meet in an East Division final rematch at Percival Molson Stadium as the Als vow to keep their 13-game win streak alive.

Toronto Argonauts (2-2) vs. Montreal Alouettes (5-0)

The Argonauts and Alouettes will match up for the second time this season but it will be Montreal playing host.

In Week 4 the Als took the lead in the first quarter and never gave it up. Cody Fajardo had one of his best games of the year throwing for 284 yards, one touchdown and rushing for an additional 13 yards.

But it was the defence that was stellar only allowing 20 points. In fact, up until last week, no one had scored over 24 points on Montreal since Toronto did it back in Week 14 of 2023.

Calgary Stampeders (2-2) vs. Winnipeg Blue Bombers (1-4)

Another Week 4 rematch will take place when the Calgary Stampeders travel to Princess Auto Stadium to take on the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

Two weeks ago, Zach Collaros got hurt and missed the entire second half. In came Chris Streveler who made 14 completions for 170 yards and a touchdown in only a half of football.

He then threw for 127 yards and added 79 more rushing yards to give Winnipeg its first win last week against the Ottawa Redblacks.

It should be another tightly contested game as these two clubs went to overtime in their last meeting and are jockeying for position in the West Division.

Saskatchewan Roughriders (4-0) vs. BC Lions (4-1)

The west's best go head-to-head with the Saskatchewan Roughriders heading to BC Place to take on the BC Lions

Outside of the Alouettes, the Roughriders are the last remaining unbeaten team, but they will be going up against a tough opponent in the Lions.

Saskatchewan's defence has been remarkable under new head coach/defensive coordinator Corey Mace. It is the best unit at defending the run and has also generated the most turnovers (14) with the best turnover ratio (+10).

The Lions meanwhile are riding high on a four-game win streak behind Vernon Adams Jr. The 31-year-old has thrown for 1,752 yards (first in the CFL), and 11 TDs (first).

It will be interesting to see the high-powered passing offence in BC go up against the turnover machine that is Saskatchewan's defence.

Ottawa Redblacks (2-2) vs. Edmonton Elks (0-4)

Don't let Edmonton's record fool you, despite being 0-4 they have lost by a combined 17 points to the four best teams in the league (Alouettes, Roughriders, Lions, and Argonauts).

Meanwhile, Ottawa has struggled offensively out of the gate and it could get worse with QB Dru Brown exiting last week's game after a late hit. Dustin Crum entered the game at quarterback and in limited action completed eight passes for 102 yards.

Edmonton will look to get into the win column for the first time this season as they are one of two winless teams remaining (Hamilton, 0-5).
