Betting insights
- Carlos Rodon (4.63 ERA) and Dean Kremer (4.42 ERA) get the call to the mound for the Yankees and Orioles, respectively. New York took the first two games of the series to even things up atop the AL East. Today's winner will sit alone in the East's No. 1 spot.
- Blanco (2.53 ERA) and Max Scherzer (3.09 ERA) duel in one of the more interesting pitching matchups of the day. The former has been dominant all season while the latter looks like his prime self four games removed from the injured list.
- The Mets carry a league-best, five-game winning streak into their series finale with the Colorado Rockies. Over that span, the Mets are averaging 6.8 runs scored per game and now see German Marquez on the mound for his season debut.
- Sale, an NL Cy Young contender, continues his renascence season and looks like he's finding a second athletic prime. His 12-3 record and 2.74 ERA both rank among the top three in the NL. He sees the teetering San Diego Padres in their series final in SoCal.
- The Blue Jays look to avoid the sweep when they face the Diamondbacks. The Jays blew a 4-3 lead in the final innings of game one before getting smoked 12-1 last night. Yusei Kikuchi (4.00 ERA) faces off against D-backs ace Zac Gallen (3.33 ERA) in the series finale.
