Three overs find their way into Sunday's MLB prop picks piece.
The pregame narrative: Juan Soto is having an exceptional campaign and I'm betting on him going over his total bases prop in a plus matchup. Jose Ramirez is also an intriguing pick to usurp his bases line while Tyler Soderstrom should be able to deliver a knock.
Check out the best MLB prop bets for Sunday, June 23.
MLB prop bets
Best Bet: Soto over 1.5 total bases (+114)
Backing one of the league's best hitters in an appetizing matchup is never a bad idea.
Soto is third in MLB in OPS (1.000) and tied for ninth in home runs (18).
The superstar is in one of the most enviable lineup spots in the league, hitting directly ahead of Aaron Judge. That doesn't give pitchers the leeway to pitch around Soto who already has one of the sharpest eyes in the league at the plate.
The New York Yankees outfielder squares off against a pitcher that he's dominated throughout his career. Max Fried takes the mound for the Atlanta Braves and he has not fared well against the left-handed hitter.
Soto has eight hits in 24 at-bats against Fried, according to Swish Analytics.
He cleared this prop in Saturday's contest against the Braves and I'm expecting him to do it again on Sunday.
Key stat: Soto is tied for 16th in extra-base hits (33) this season.
Quick picks
Ramirez over 1.5 total bases (-114): Ramirez is another one of the game's best hitters who stares down a mouth-watering matchup.
The Cleveland Guardians superstar battles Toronto Blue Jays southpaw Yusei Kikuchi, a head-to-head that firmly favours the former.
Ramirez is slashing .286/.333/.714 with a pair of homers in 15 plate appearances against Kikuchi.
Kikuchi is struggling ahead of this contest, as his 4.87 ERA and 5.70 FIP in June are his worst from any month this season.
Ramirez, meanwhile, has topped this line in seven of his last 12 games.
Soderstrom over 0.5 hits (-120): This is a reasonable line on a wager that Soderstrom is cashing more often than not.
Soderstrom has a hit in 13 of his last 16 games, slashing an impressive .315/.393/.630 with a pair of doubles and five home runs during this stretch.
The Oakland Athletics catcher is hitting a respectable .250 on the season.
He faces a struggling Pablo Lopez who gets the ball for the Minnesota Twins. His 5.63 ERA and 4.36 FIP are undesirable numbers and they've taken a dip in June.
Lopez has a 9.69 ERA and 7.15 FIP across three starts this month.
