The BC Lions visit the Calgary Stampeders on Sunday to close out Week 7 of the CFL season.
The pregame narrative: The Lions have started the year looking like true contenders. They carry a 5-1 record into Calgary and I'm expecting a shootout and taking over 52.5 points as my best bet for the game.

These two teams met back in Week 2 in BC where the Lions came away with a 26-17 victory. Not a shootout by any means but I think the location for the rematch will be the difference.
At home, Lions home games have seen an average of 48.0 total points this season compared to 61.3 points per contest on the road.
Calgary can be prone to shootouts as well. The Stamps fell short against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers last week in a 41-37 offensive explosion.
But make no mistake, the real powerhouse here is the Lions. They are first in yards per game (428.7), second in touchdowns scored (17) and first in average yards per play (7.43).
A lot of their success comes on the shoulders of Vernon Adams Jr. The quarterback leads the CFL in passing yards (2,203). That number is almost 600 yards higher than second-ranked Bo Levi Mitchell.
He also leads the pack with 12 touchdowns and a QB efficiency rating of 114.7. Combine that with three measly interceptions and you have a QB that's consistently leading his team down the field.
The Stampeders are allowing the most yards per game (405.6) and that should put the Lions into scoring position often. Expect the latter to do the heavy lifting and get this total over the mark.
