Tommy Paul and Roberto Bautista Agut meet in the fourth round at Wimbledon.
The pregame narrative: Paul has been near-untouchable on grass this year, but I'm expecting a close match. Bautista Agut is a capable veteran who should make this a close contest.

Paul vs. Bautista Agut Wimbledon odds
Best bet: Bautista Agut +1.5 sets (+165)
It's difficult to see either competitor running away with this one.
Paul is a sizeable moneyline favourite (-455) thanks to his grass-court success this year. The American is a dominant 9-1 on the surface with a Queen's Club championship under his belt.
But Bautista Agut has a lengthy track record of success on grass. He's an impressive 57-28 lifetime and a noteworthy 7-3 in 2024.
Strong servers tend to do well on grass and both these players are comparable in that category. Paul ranks 54th in serve rating (283.2) on the surface while Bautista Agut is 62nd (279.4) over the last 52 weeks, according to ATPtour.com.
Both players have wins over top-20 opponents on grass this year, but Bautista Agut actually holds the more impressive victory. He beat No. 16 Ugo Humbert at Mallorca in June.
Bautista Agut has already thwarted heavy hitters Fabio Fognini and Lorenzo Sonego at the All England Club. I expect him to, at the very least, push Paul to the limit in the fourth round.
Key stat: Bautista Agut has a winning career record (3-2) against Paul, although the two have never squared off on grass.
