One of the top teams at Euro 2024 will be heading home on Friday.
The pregame narrative: Spain and Germany have looked like the two strongest squads at the tournament so far. Both went unbeaten in the group stage and dominated their Round of 16 matchup. I'm staying away from picking a side but am expecting offence from both parties.

Spain vs. Germany prediction
Best Bet: Both teams to score (-136)
We're officially at the heavyweight portion of Euro 2024 with Spain and Germany leading the bill.
La Roja are the only team with a 4-0-0 record. They've thoroughly dominated the competition, scoring eight times while only conceding once — and that was thanks to an own goal off Robin Le Normand in the Round of 16.
Gerogia's lead didn't last long in that game as Spain furiously responded, scoring four unanswered en route to a 4-1 victory.
Luis de la Fuente's squad held 75.0% possession and generated a whopping 35 shots — 13 of which found the target — to Georgia's four (zero on target).
Cracking the Spanish defence will be a tough task but I believe Germany is up to the challenge.
The hosts rank first in goals (10) and passing percentage (89.3) and sit second in possession (65.3), per FBRef. They've scored in all but two of 13 games since Julian Nagelsmann was appointed in September 2023 and have multiple goals in four of their last five.
Jamal Musiala, Kai Havertz, Florian Wirtz and Niclas Fullkrug have all found the net and provide plenty of options up front.
Spain is more than capable of fighting fire with fire, though. La Roja have scored in 12 of their last 13 games and that includes hanging three on solid teams like Croatia and Brazil.
No team has more expected non-penalty goals this tournament than Spain (8.8) who sit comfortably clear of Portugal (6.9) and Germany (6.3).
Both sides have elite defences but I'll bet on the overwhelming offensive talent winning out.
Key stat: Spain (7.25) and Germany (6.75) rank first and second in shots on target per 90.
Pick made at 12:16 p.m. on 07/03/24.
