The Toronto Argonauts look to build on recent momentum with a road matchup against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
The pregame narrative: Toronto is coming off an impressive 37-18 road win, giving the Montreal Alouettes their first loss of the season. I'm expecting the Argos to go into Hamilton and cover the spread against the winless Tiger-Cats in Week 7.

[Best Bet]: Argonauts -2.5 (-110)
Many were worried headed into the season when news dropped of Argos' starting quarterback Chad Kelly being suspended for at least the first nine games.
But Cameron Dukes has stepped in to fill the role rather well. The 25-year-old has already totalled over 1,000 passing yards this season to go with six touchdowns and five interceptions.
Not the prettiest stats on paper, but it's worth noting four of those picks came in a Week 4 contest with the talented Saskatchewan Roughriders (4-1). Dukes has thrown just one interception in the other four games.
Toronto has a 3-2 record, with its defeats coming at the hands of Montreal and Saskatchewan — who have combined for two losses. Coming out with one win in three games against those teams is better than most have fared.
The Argos have covered a -2.5 line in all three of their wins this season including a Week 1 victory over the BC Lions (5-1) and last week's thrashing of the Als (5-1).
The Ti-Cats, on the other hand, have yet to win a game and don't have it any easier against Toronto in Week 7.
Hamilton allows the opposition to score the most points (33.8) per game while scoring the third-fewest (24.8) on offence. The weak defence is a concern against the league's top-scoring side. Toronto scores the most points (30.8) per game in the CFL.
Key stat: Hamilton has yet to cover this spread in 2024.
