Betting insights
- Scherzer may be 39 years old but you wouldn't be able to tell by his performances this season. The righty carries a 2.96 ERA and 0.99 WHIP through his first five starts. He faces his toughest challenge yet in the Orioles whose dynamic offence scores the most runs per game (5.0).
- The Dodgers are once again favoured over the Red Sox but Boston has the pitching advantage tonight. Brayan Bello (5.32 ERA) is no Cy Young candidate by any means but has the experience edge over Dodgers' starter Justin Wrobleski (6.30 ERA) who makes his third start of the season. Over nine runs could be the play with the mix of these offences and starting pitchers.
- Closing out the night are the Astros and the Mariners. George Kirby (3.29 ERA) and Framber Valdez (3.66 ERA) provide one of the more intriguing pitching matchups of the night. Both starters attempt to help their respective teams in the race for the AL West. These two sides are currently tied for first and the winner of this game takes sole possession of the top spot in the division.
