The Los Angeles Lakers close out their Summer League venture against the Chicago Bulls.

The latest: LA is 2-2 through four games in Vegas. Bronny James had a strong outing against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday and has one final chance tonight to get prepared for NBA action this upcoming fall.

Bulls vs. Lakers preview

The Lakers are out of contention for the Summer League title but James and other young talent on L.A. still have valuable experience left on the table provided by an evening meeting with the Chicago Bulls.

Bronny has been solid on the defensive side of the ball through the entirety of his time in Vegas but he finally had an offensive game to be proud of on Thursday.

James went for 13 points on 5-of-10 shooting while going 1-for-3 from 3-point range. He added five rebounds, three assists and two blocks showing off his potential value as an NBA player. Check out our Bronny James futures for the 2024-25 season here.

It hasn't been all sunshine and rainbows but at the end of the day, Summer League is about gaining the experience against the best young players in the world.

First-round pick Dalton Knecht has been the best player for the Lakers and looks the most NBA-ready, as he should. He's averaged 21.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists in the three games he's played.

Matas Buzelis headlines the Bulls' roster that's 2-2. The 11th overall pick is putting up 18 points per game on a 34.7% field goal percentage.

Much like other young players, the 19-year-old has struggled to find his rhythm but this is nothing new in the Summer League as many guys who have had poor showings in past years have gone on to have great careers.

The Bulls are 3.5-point favourites in what should be a close game.
