Edmonton Elks (0-3) vs. BC Lions (2-1)

Don't let the Elks' record fool you. Despite being 0-3 they have lost by a combined 14 points to the three remaining undefeated teams in the CFL, the Roughriders, Argonauts, and Alouettes.

Edmonton is led by McLeod Bethel-Thompson who has transformed the Elks offence from a year ago, leading the CFL in completions (89) while also being second in yards (978) and touchdowns (6).

Bethel-Thompson's opposition for the week, Vernon Adams Jr. has been stride-for-stride with him as the league's best QB to start the year. The 31-year-old Adams has been on fire throwing for 1,038 yards (first in the CFL), six touchdowns (second-best) with only one interception.

Montreal Alouettes (3-0) vs. Toronto Argonauts (2-0)

No one has been able to crack Montreal's defence throughout an 11-game win streak dating back to Week 16 of last season. The Als have held the opposition to an average of 16 points scored during that span.

No one has been able to score over 24 points against the Alouettes since the Argonauts did in Week 14 of 2023. While Chad Kelly led that offensive explosion, Toronto is going to need some more of that offence this week led by Cameron Dukes.

With the 25-year-old at the helm, the Argos are averaging the most points per game this season (37), and Dukes is the only starting QB to have not thrown an interception. He will be leading the offence into the buzzsaw that is known as the Alouettes defence, however.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers (0-3) vs. Calgary Stampeders (1-1)

It has been over a decade since we have seen Winnipeg begin a season this bad.

The Blue Bombers are 0-3 for the first time since 2012 and have lost consecutive home games for the first time since 2018. The offence remains in the basement of the league averaging the least amount of net offensive yards per game (310.6) while Zach Collaros is yet to throw a touchdown pass.

They will be taking on the Stampeders at home who are rested after a bye week. Calgary has been treading water, sitting in the middle of most major statistical categories to start the year.

If Winnipeg is going to get out of a slump, it could be against a middling team they have won seven out of the previous eight meetings with.

Hamilton Tiger-Cats (0-3) vs. Ottawa Redblacks (1-1)

Both the Tiger-Cats and Reblacks will try to right the ship after both were blown out in Week 3, losing by a combined 42 points.

Despite being 0-3, Hamilton's offence has been impressive. It is averaging the most net offensive yards per game (394.3) while Bo Levi Mitchell has gotten off to a great start. The 34-year-old has thrown for 83 completions (second-best), 975 yards (third-best), and six touchdowns (second-best).

Opposite of him is first-year starter Dru Brown. It's been a rough start for the 27-year-old who is only averaging 265.0 passing yards per game while leading the offence in the nation's capital to the second-least amount of net offensive yards per game with 324.5.
