After a dazzling Olympic debut in front of home supporters, Victor Wembanyama will look to follow it up with an equally dominant performance against Japan.
The pregame narrative: For the second straight game, France is a heavy favourite to win. The 20-year-old Wembanyama is at the centre of France's high expectations, and he has some of the highest prop over/unders across the Olympic basketball field.

Wemby and the rest of the French squad are coming off a 78-66 win over Brazil, backed by a dominant second quarter.
France found itself down 23-15 at the start of the second before Wembanyama took over. The 7-foot-4 behemoth put up 11 points, three rebounds, one assist and one block in the quarter alone, helping France outscore the Brazilians, 24-13.
After taking a three-point lead into halftime, France led the rest of the way.
Wembanyama finished with 19 points on 7-of-13 shooting to go with nine rebounds, two assists, four steals and three blocks.
Best Wembanyama prop bet
Best bet: Over 1.5 threes (-177)
I'm going with Wembanyama to connect on at least two 3-point shots.
He didn't hit this over against Brazil on Saturday, going 1-for-4 from beyond the arc. But he did show a willingness to let it fly. A high volume of attempted threes is something Wemby has always shown, in fact.
In exhibition matchups entering the Olympics, the French phenom took five 3-point attempts against Serbia, four against Canada, and a whopping 10 against Australia.
The NBA Rookie of the Year was not afraid to shoot from distance with the San Antonio Spurs, either. He launched 5.5 threes per game this past season and connected at a 32.5% clip.
Wembanyama can hit shots from long range, as well as a track record of solid volume on 3-point attempts. and also has a solid track record history of taking loads from deep per game and looking confident while doing it.
Key stat: Wembanyama went over this total in two of three friendlies leading up to the Paris Games.
